Repaved Surfaces Ocean geotextiles impregnated with liquid asphalt adhesive is installed
over the old concrete or asphalt cracked or broken pavements form a
tight seal with the asphalt overlay and thus extends the life of the
pavement by spanning the cracks and this preventing them from
propagating through to the new surface. It will also act as a moisture
barrier.
Ocean geotextiles permits a thinner resurfacing layer that preserves
the nominal curb height and postpones the time when the entire surface
must be removed and a new wearing course installed.
Retained Soil Wall Access in steep, mountainous terrains is often provided only by roads
cut into this side of a hill. Traditional methods coll for constructing
a retained soil wall using earth fill with timber or pile reinforcing.
Ocean woven geotextiles economically replace this method of
construction and combines ease of installation with excellent drainage
characteristics. Construction with Ocean geotextiles consists of
placing alternate layers of geotextiles and earth fill. The edge of
each fabric layer is folded back around a soil berm and lapped to next
layer to form a wall face.
